In 2003 I designed, built and ‘attempted’ to market my first real business in Tokyo Japan. I had no prior knowledge or training, so I learned the old fashioned way through trial and error. I made many mistakes (developing the product rather than making sales) and I wasted huge amounts of time and money in the process.

Since those painful and very costly early mistakes, I decided to learn everything I could about marketing and sales so I would never feel the same pain, frustration and heartache ever again (it has since become a passion because I find the whole subject to be fascinating).

As a result I have been actively studying and practicing direct response marketing, internet marketing and business growth strategies. My focus has been on generating highly targeted leads through a variety of channels and getting (converting) more customers.

I have followed and studied some of the worlds most successful marketers, business consultants and highly respected entrepreneurs, such as:

Claude Hopkins, David Ogilvy, John Caples, Joe Sugarman, Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Eben Pagan and Alan Weiss Ph.D. to name but a few.

Since 2007 I have discovered and developed a wide range of marketing systems and business growth strategies that can be applied to almost any business or sales model.  Whilst networking and attending seminars, I realized that many business owners and entrepreneurs face the same problems today as I did back in 2003. So in late 2011 I started Asahina Marketing and Asahina Video to support business owners and entrepreneurs (who like me back in 2003) need help with developing their sales and direct response marketing strategies to increase their profits and grow their business.

Web Development and Internet Marketing Specialist

I got started in web design and development back in 1998 when Google and the concept of internet marketing was in its infancy.

Like everyone else out there I made bad looking websites but I always tried to make high quality content and have the best user experience possible and push myself with each new project even in those early days. 

These concepts are still the same key drivers in today’s internet marketing. 

After graduating with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, Canada, the projects got progressively bigger and the technology itself became increasingly more complicated over the years but the fundamentals haven’t changed. Content is still king. 

Over the past ten years I have been fortunate to work for one of the world’s biggest investment banks, and one of the world’s biggest IT companies and continue to do exciting projects for some top international Universities and global brands constantly gaining new experience and new knowledge to better serve our clients. 

I am still just as passionate about web development and internet marketing as I was on day one.  Helping businesses grow and succeed is the most exciting and rewarding career out there.
